Description
This is the final piece for my abstract painting class. It's definitely a big departure from the other stuff I've done--I went for more of an atmospheric feeling than any specific objects or shapes. I had no real idea of what I was going to do going in--just some things that I wanted to try, and I let the painting take it from there.

Anyway--the assignment was to make a mixed media painting, bringing some other materials into our piece. I incorporated newspaper and some copper leafing--they're subtle, but they're there. Hope you like it.
