In saying that, the arrow is resting on the thumb side of the bow stave, not the knuckle side. In western/olympic archery, its resting on the knuckle side. In Oriental archery its off the thumb.Β

Wow... I can almost feel the gut-wrenching pace of the terrific chase; the neighing of the galloping warhorses as their hooves pound and splash through the riverbed; the archer's bow strumming as it launches a swift arrow that whips back and fells a rider in mid-stride; the screams of the hellish horde as they almost catch up to their quarry!
Every detail, shape, texture, coloring, lighting and shadow here feels real.. a painting cannot become more perfect than this! Especially the lighting and the details of the archer-warrior lady and the horses are just amazingly rendered here. This is a fantastic example of technique, talent and imagination!
*Standing applause*

Wow Hello There!
You're amazing! If you could take a quick second to answer this, you would honestly change my life: What do I physically need to do during practice, each day, to eventually be able to create art like you? How did you learn and become so amazing?!!
Can you please break down exactly what one extremely motivated beginner student would need to do, each & every day when he or she sits down to practice, in order to create these incredible photorealistic 2d digital drawing/paintings?
People just say 'Practice.' But I do not know 'exactly' what this entails.Β
Can you maybe make me, like, a list or something?!! So I can then go out and explore those topics? Or at least tell me what I need to physically be doing with my practice time so I can get as good as you?Β
If there's any books/DVDs/tutorials you can recommend that totally helped you get better, that would be so freakin' incredible!!!
Thanks for the help!
