It's definitely an interesting shot. I can't quite make my mind up whether this could pass off as a winter shot, or that some volcanic disaster as covered the surrounding forrest with ash.
Good stuff though.

Its not so much that it is hard. More so it takes time to learn to use curves and channel mixer.

The colours doesn't look quite complete. Some parts are red and blue.

Upon further inspection, it appears to be IR light that is bouncing off the water and onto the rock. I submitted another version in which I did my best to make this "spot" less distracting.
