This is great! Love the bark-like skin and how the "hair" is the tree branches.

I think its the wizard part that makes this character compelling. Was he always a tree? Or did he decide try it on like Merlin from Sword in the Stone?

When I was a child, adults used to take me to a park, and, isolated from the other trees there were an old tree and for some weird reason your painting remind me of it... I believe something was living on that tree

I saw that, and I said "That looks just like the Treefolk Harbinger." And then I read the description and I said "...that IS the Treefolk Harbinger!" Great work. MTG card artwork is some of my favorite.

I feel like a little child again, who's wondering off to forest after reading another horried fairy tale and suddenly seeing things everywhere, realizing the man, who wrote the book had to be lying as things I encountered weren't ever that horried. Yeah, but I was a child back then too.
