Sooo sorry I couldn't get around to coloring this picture until now!Anyway... this is the most "background" i have ever done ever ever ever! lol (you can see I'm inexperienced) But this helps because it helped me work on my background skills and they are definitely improving! I'll just have to keep doing more backgrounds in my pictures!!
This pic is for ~Melissa08 who has been waiting for the colored version since September! (and so have I haha)

I like how you included the rose bushed off to the side, showing where Link got his flower from. Background takes a bit of work to get better at. Some people are better at the background than the actually characters, and therefore have to work extra hard on the characters. Other people are good at people, but need to work extra hard at backgrounds. Then there are those who are well rounded and slowly improve everything, bit by bit.
I'm just going to critique something (like I'm one to talk...). The rose bushes next to Zelda are a bit too blurred, especially with the leaves in front of her feet being defined like that.

yep everyone has commented on the blurriness of the rose bushes lol I feel rather dumb for having painted them that way... maybe someday I shall fix them... but I honestly am not very proud of this picture so I might feel a little apathetic to fix them lol

the background doesn't look too bad but the perspective is off a bit. that path on the right should be on a different angle. but hey, what do i know? i'm no expert on perspective. xp

The biggest critique is that objects in the same viewpoint line as Zelda should not be blurred. While this puts lots of focus on the characters, it makes the bushes seem almost surreal for no apparent reason.
Also, I find your doll-ish eyes kinda cute.

haha they were un-blurred and i realized they looked awful. soo i had to make it look bad and make them blurry. i realized that as one of the majore flaws of this picture but it will definitely have to be something i work on. thank you for the critique!
