I'm looking to purchase something like this. Would you be able to make another one?
I need it crib size. My daughter is having a girl and she is doing it in Beauty and the Beast.

This is beautiful! How you managed to do this as your first quilting project is beyond my understanding. Great work.

Unfortunately not at this time.  It was my first attempt at making a quilt and there are a number of imperfections in it.  It hangs on my wall as a reminder of things I need to pay attention to in the future.

I don't know how soon I'll do another considering I still have not finished the first.  Honestly once you come up with a picture you want to do, all you do is cut out the pieces and then use a satin stitch to stitch the edges together onto a backing fabric.  I used iron on fusible to stabilize the fabric to cut out the shapes and then to keep them roughly in place while stitching.  Do note that this technique is gonna use an insane amount of thread.  If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them.

What about seam allowance?

No need to really since you'll just be stitching it down and not folding over edges or anything.  The stitch itself doesn't take up much space and you can usually change the width of the stitch to meet your desires (to a point).

I used quilters fabric quarters.  You don't generally need much of each fabric so you can get a lot of different colors/patterns pretty cheaply and usually you'll still have a significant amount left over for your next project.

One thing I would also suggest is when you are designing the project, try your best to limit the number of fabrics you need.  For example, try to use the same green fabric every time you use green instead of putting in five different shades. If I remember correctly, my entire quilt used something like 11 different colors on top of a black fabric backing, but I could have changed that number in either direction.

Yep, this sure was a crazy thing to tackle first.

Did you make the pattern yourself or was it from a book?

I made the pattern from a picture posted on the Disney Parks blog from The Magic, the Memories, and You.
