Description I discovered using the art pen and the calligraphy brush how perfect it is for creating type in Paniter 13. I have been creating illuminated manuscripts mostly in Photoshop for the last five years and wanted to take painter out for a test drive in the same process. The border was created in the style of William Morris using a technical pen on plain white paper and then scanned into Photoshop where I colorized, and shaded in the design. The illustration at the top is from a Dover Christmas book of art of 1800 Christmas card. The card celebrates the longest night, of the year on January 21. In my family, we usually celebrated with the burning of a Yule log in the fireplace and having a family dinner. Now that I've converted my wood fireplace to gas, because of air quality concerns, I guess we'll have to just burned candles to celebrate Yule. The calligraphy appears to be a little on the rough side since I'm just beginning to get comfortable in using the stylist to create type.
