A Tempian soldier as opposed to a Tenari soldier. Now, I've often said that a lot of the Tempian/Tenari stuff is interchangeable, since Tempia is a (fictional) middle power island nation in the south eastern Pacific and Tenar is a super power on a fictional planet, some things will obviously differ. Owing to geographic location, the Tempian army expects most of its engagements to occur in tropical/sub tropical and warm temperate marine environments (compared to the colder continental battlefields around Tenar) and its uniforms and training reflect this. Shorts for hot, humid weather! Keep the legs cool! Also gives you an excuse to show off your neolithic inspired body painting skills as you apply your camouflage! Anyway, training and doctrine wise, Tempia has a very strong focus on amphibious operations to the extent that most combat brigades could be classified as marines (I mean, they've got a lot of islands to defend). As such, most of the Tempian military is made up of fast, hard hitting infantry units supported by light amphibious IFVs. They do have an armoured corp but it is relatively small in comparison.

The equipment depicted here is accurate for the latter half of the 20th century and has since been modernised going into the 21st century.

Edit: Didn't like the perspective on the radio, looked like it was slung over one shoulder rather than positioned squarely on her back (which would be a bit uncomfortable to carry for a long time) so I added a bag on the far side to spread the weight out. Also added a hand piece to break up the monotony of green on the radio casing.
