So I'm looking through your whole portfolio and each drawing - not 10 or 20 but EACH, is amazing! So why did I pick just this one as my favourite? Believe it or not it's the secondary shadows on the upper left eyelid coming from the reflected light of the lower right side of the drawing. You had to "see" it to put it there. Good job!

Thank you so much for your comments, AND thanks for looking through my gallery, AND studying my drawings . thats the way I try to draw them, catch all the detail , As far as I know you are the first to do this .It makes it worth doing if just one person notices .
I had a look through your gallery and I'm fascinated with your white on black drawings ,love them, I'm going to give it a try, Time disappears for me as well when I'm drawing.

Wow! The shading is far beyond anything I would have imagined could be done with colored pencils! Like the rest of your work, it just jumps off the page. Awesome!

That's really good, especially using colored pencils. The lines under her eyes seem a bit hard to me, but that just might be the picture. Otherwise it's really good

I love the overall feel of very subtle colouring even though you can still see a strong colour, even in the shadows. The eyes are simply amazing, if you'd ever make a tutorial on colouring eyes (I guess you just paint what you see, neh?) I'd be the first to read it... okay, semi-first

And just asking, is there something with the light in this picture or is it just drawn that dark? The more I look at it, the less I really see it. I think it's because of those mesmerizing eyes

THank you for your great comment . I find it hard when people ask about the drawing . because in a way you're right I draw the colours I see in the picture . I do draw them a bit darker I love shade and shadows ,I think you get more colours that way . I try to pick out as many colours as I can. skin is the hardest to draw its not pink . Having said all that it's the original photo that should gets the credit. I'm really just copying. paint by numbers if you like. Just draw what you see. The next one I'm doing I'm going to see how many colours I can get in it. again the picture is from See I told you I find it hard . any of it make sense. You're quite humble But it's so much more than just paint by numbers as you say, your talent is inthe way you your blending creates the colors that we see. Skin is very difficult, I know, because no one has the exact same tone and there are so many hues in a single skin tone. The original photo is appreciated as a photo, the drawing you create gains apreciation all the same because even though you may think you're just copying you're sharing a vision that we may not see. That's the meaning of an artist, sharing their vision and what they find beautiful with the rest of us.
