I find this ironic because Connecticut got hit harder than New York.
-didn't have power for a week because of it-

And the weather must hate us because half of the state is out, again.

We just got power back from it, and the houses down by the beach are all flooded, and one has a driftwood-tree through the front windows.

Oh dear, I think my school is being postponed for a couple of days because of it. I hope everyone is alright.

Yeah, we're starting a week late. And no one got seriously hurt, just the houses really.

Well, I just survived through it and it was completely sane where I was. The worst thing about it was that we lost power for two in-a-half days

Thanks.
A couple telephone lines down here and there and going to walmart, it was amazing how the cars could direct themselves. Completely amazing because the traffic light was out! o:>
It rained pretty hard the first day though.

Yeah. My basement was a little flooded and my friends lost power. Actually NY flipped out more than CT, but based on now the news report, CT got it worse that NY. XD. NJ got it the worst XD

CT's do low key about it that I didn't even know they were hit. xD What exactly did happen?
From what I've seen NJ's been maybe a little too light about it. The evacuations were taken seriously, but people around me have been having hurricane parties and annoy the weather reporters by just acting like buffoons on camera. I'm not sure whether to be embarrassed or not.

lol, Yeah. A lot of the people here are without power, and there are a lot of down trees. I'm not really sure, I can't remember

That sucks. And did you see Vermont on the news?! They have got to have it the worst, especially since a lot of them live so far away from resources. My cousins are pracitically trapped on their land because their entire road (which is also their driveway) just washed away.

I'm from NY, and it's true the media totally flipped out about all this, so the drawing is hysterical. But we never get crazy weather like this-an earthquake tremor and a hurricane in one week is weird even for us, and believe me Manhattan's full of weird people.
But yeah it was pretty bad. My friend's aunt and uncle got evacuated from their house in a boat. I guess it's just cause we never had experience with this stuff before.

Thank you XD, yeah, I wasn't here for the earthquake, and I got back from france during when everyone started freaking out, I hadn't known about it before.

I dunno. Florida we were pretty chill about it because we knew it wasn't heading towards us. All I got to see about it across state borders was the national news. Plus the meteorologists and weather analysts were completely right in their warnings and having people take precaution against the storm.
I'm an architect-engineer... so even I got a little fed up with was some Joe-Anchorman that was spouting off nonsense about what affects hurricanes and winds and flooding would have on Manhattan skyscrapers. Half of what he was going on about was just plain wrong and needlessly sensational.
