Hey guys, its me Gus.
While I am still continuing to make more Tim Burton Arts, I decided today to take a break to work on this special sketch that I had stash away in my sketch pile for a while. You see, my OC is wearing a Mexican Soldier uniform from the Mexican Revolution of 1910. This is special to me because my great great Uncle and great great Grandfather serves as commanding officers of the Mexican Government during the revolution. I don't know much about my GG Grandfather, but I know pretty well of my GG Uncle named General Aguirre who fought to protect his hometown (in which where my mom was born) from Pancho Villa in the Mexican State of Durango. Because of this story, it is why I love military History in general. Infact, I always had a dream to become a soldier like my ancestors were during those eras. Of course, its impossible for me to do so due to physical reasons and the era we live in. Of course, I do admire alot of the military today, just that during the old eras of late 1700s to the mid 1940s, there was a sense of tradition of a solider to serve their nation with honor, courage, and devotion of duty to their home and to their love ones. Plus with the ceremonial uniforms is a symbol of honor that any person could ever asked for. Even thought I have a good life of where I am today, I do wish that if there was ever a chance in the universe that if I ever were to have been born in those era, I would of serve my country with honor as a solider. So yeah, hope you guys understand and like it ^^.
