An 1880 wood engraving after a drawing by Andre' Gill of the famous "la bataille de Gervaise et Virginie" in Emile Zola's novel "L'Assommoir". The two fighting women have thrown water on each other, pulled some of their rival's hair down and are now whalloping one another with laundry paddles.Related content

I bet that was a fun fight. I never thought of a fight with paddles. That fight could last a long time, I imagine.

This one is great but short. Very vigorous. I suppose back then, female stunt women had to practise catfighting. That sounds like a lot of fun!

I saw a great video online but I don't know if I can find it again. It looked like it was from a VHS about two friends who also loved competing and ended up in a long wrestle. It might be called "Competition Carfight" or even "Competition Catf!ght" on pornhub but I didn't view it on that site.

No. It was a long video. They cycle together, go to the beach etc. before having a great wrestle at the end. If I can find it again, I'll send you the link. It's a staged one and they aren't trying to injure each other but do roughly wrestle topless

I normally don't like women punching each other but this one is captivating because they really punch each other so hard in the face, knocking each other around with the occasional punch in the stomach although there aren't enough punches in the stomach in this

Bloody phone! Catz Club UK. The phone changed the words without me realising. I had no idea the sight of two women slugging it out was so appealing. Strange as if I saw a real fight with women punching, not so nice. I suppose staged fights on films can show the idealism

I like in certain films where a catfight isn't too violent and they wrestle, slap etc.

I had no idea that there were so many vintage catfights! They knew how to scrap back then: wrestling, slapping, rolling around. That's the sort of thing I like to see.
I spotted this one but the very first one of Bettie Page is my favourite. They were so vigorous!
