(Really? Well, on the off chance no one's told you yet, it's a male's favorite animated character. It was originated by male otaku (fans of anime) who professed love for their favorite female anime character, implying they'd want to marry her, and her being a piece of celluloid a minor problem. Now, I think, it's used in a bit more good fun than anything else, to various degrees of intensity. Some people really mean it, others just use it as an expression that they really really really like this character. And, yes, people have more than one waifu.)
