Megan: "It was as decisive of a victory as it got, and all it took was Lanka to overcommit on some of her moves. This could happen to anyone though, and the way this match played out with Lanka today was no indicator of her skill level. She was a formidable fighter, and if she wasn't, she wouldn't have been entered into this prestigious tournament. I hope one day she can recover from this and learn from her mistakes to improve her game. As for me, it was the best scenario I could have asked for: A quick, dominant performance that would make a statement while not tiring me out or hurting me. This tournament was a multi-faceted journey, and every bit of self-preservation mattered. It would only get harder from here though, and I would not rest on my laurels. It was time to go back to training."
