18"x24" Acrylic on stretched canvasThis is a beginning attempt at a still life. The theme is "Country" with dried flowers in a bark wall vase, blue glass storage jars and hand-made plaster flowers background. I upped the color and vibrancy of the compositional items to make it more joyful. Let me know what you think.

Very nice composition! And i like the use of this intense blue against the brown of the pine cones. Nice set of contrasts there, warm and cool, rough and smooth. It's a beautiful piece of work!

Yes it is Acrylic. It has a lot of Ultramarine Blue and Cadmium Orange. Thanks for taking the time to look and comment.

Thank you Aragonia. I've been experimenting with complimentary color schemes, as well as all the other schemes. The blue-orange scheme worked well with this subject. I appreciate your comment.

It's not a perfect piece (which is better than perfect). I had the use of a hatched veiwfinder to help with placement. Thanks for taking the time to look.
