I have a pretty common headcanon about Ash and Misty’s children: the first one is a girl with Ash’s hair and cheek marks and Misty’s eyes. If I remember right I start to think this way thanks to comics by , and I still love the idea.And I truly love the name Ashley for the child! Just imagine…

Early morning after the long night when the baby was born. Everything is fine, Ash is absolutely happy as well as absolutely tired and sleepy. He is sitting at the hospital hall when a nurse comes and ask to fill documents, “Name?” She had a long night too, so if it requires so much energy to pronounce the whole sentence, why should she do it? So, she just read the title of the document text area. “Ash”, just-become-father answers, not trying to understand why the nurse needs some “Name”. He is all in his thoughts and actually close to fall asleep right there, on a chair. .. And, of course, you know what happens next: the nurse writes down what he said and goes to her place to finish papers and finally get some rest. Later… another nurse will find out that the baby girl has a boy’s name and decide that her colleague was just interrupted and forgot to complete the word. So, the baby becomes Ashley. As you may expect, Misty and Ash were shocked after discussing their daughter name in documents. They have spent a lot of time choosing another one! But seeing the baby starts smiling every time she sees Pokemon, they accept the new name, as probably it’s the only one that is right!
