Description
The gigantic monster gave a guttural laugh which rumbled the earth as he leered over the helpless city before him. So many buildings to smash up and burn, so many people to crush and devour... today he will show the city who is the biggest, baddest boss around these parts.
With giddy anticipation, he lifts his clawed foot to march over the mountain and begin his fun...
“HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!”
Both the monster and the city pause in their march and panic, growls and screams silencing as all eyes turn to look over the other side of the mountain, where the voice came from.
In a flash of divine light, Palutena, the Goddess of Light, manifested into the area. Her green hair and resplendent radiance remain the same, but her regalia, dress, weapon and shield, normally white and golden, had changed and darkened into wrathful colours, reflecting the temperament the goddess herself is presently feeling. Her eyes bore into Giga Bowser, towering over the mountain, city and even the creature in size.
"You're not wrecking this city, Giga-Bowser..." Palutena proclaimed, her voice carrying for miles with her unbridled divine might.
"Hurray, it's a giant goddess...!" One of the citizens in the city cheered.
"Because I am wrecking this city!"
"Aww crap, it's a giant goddess...!" The same citizen now lamented.
"Says you, lady! The mayor of this place owes me money! I'm not letting you get first dibs!" Giga Bowser yelled back in defiance, looking up and shaking a curled claw-fist. The mere volume of it broke a quarter of all windows in the city.
"A goddess need to do personal divine retribution every now and then, and I'm not letting this hive of rampant crime and corruption get away from their crimes by letting a big dragon-turtle monster flatten it first!" Palutena explained, punctuating her point by slamming her staff into the earth, shaking all in the vicinity in a brief earthquake. Many people in the city winced - she is not wrong about the things they were up to. With hindsight they probably do have it coming... "Besides, I doubt you would bother to discriminate between those who are truly guilty and those who are truly innocent! Letting you do the job in my stead would be grossly irresponsible..."
"It's not like you are any more responsible than I am when you go and have fun at this size yourself!" Giga Bowser accused, folding his scaled arms, "Didn't you flattened and feasted on that metropolis the other day...?"
"HALF a metropolis. Like I said, I do care about them, so I do take caution over who receives my wrath... or my fun." She smiles cheekily and licked her lips at a remembrance, "I love them dearly, but I never knew until that days villainous mortals taste so good. Maybe young Viridi have the right idea..."
"Well, looks like we're both in a bit of a standoff." Giga Bowser grumbled, scratching his head irritably as he thought about this dilemma, "Hmm... we both have reasons to trash this place and have its people for lunch..."
"Well, not all of them for lunch; I do have... other uses for them." Palutena noted, letting the sentence hang. Half of the city blushed at the realization of what she might be implying.
"... Why not just the two of us squash them all together?" Giga Bowser suggested.
"That is..." Palutena paused, tapping her chin in thought. Then she admitted, "...actually not a bad idea."
"Oh come on, seriously?!" Someone from down below them exclaimed in outrage.
"That settles that!" Giga Bowser said, turning towards the city to begin his rampage in earnest. "I take one half and you take the other. Shrink down to my size and this place would be big enough for the two of us to play with. If you're so squeamish about 'collateral damage', I'll let you get dibs on all the schools, hospitals, churches and whatever else that's 'off-limits'."
"Hmm... I suppose I can work with that." Palutena agreed with a shrug. "Then maybe a friendly spar afterwards? No point letting the rest of the afternoon go to waste."
Giga Bowser nodded, and then howled with joy as he finally stomped in, toppling skyscrapers and crushing whole blocks wholesale. The Humans attempted to fight back, but their army units' firepower proved little more than inconveniences against the enormous dragon-turtle menace, trailing munitions popping harmlessly against his scales. Giga Bowser grinned, then opened his maw and inhaled, having downed Vacuum Shrooms earlier on top of Mega Shrooms, and those troops, along with many more blocks and streets worth of people and even buzzing squadrons of jet fighters ended up going down his gullet, where they will join all those Giga Bowser had already devoured.
Palutena shook her head with apprehension as Giga Bowser carved a path of destruction across the city, wondering if he would keep his word at avoiding collateral. She herself stomped her way towards it, shrinking down to his size as she did - pausing to notice at a side-glance an airliner about to fly pass her. It was making its way to the city's airport, but seeing the carnage - and the titanic goddess right in front of them, glancing their way - the pilots rightly judged discretion is called for and began veering the plane away to an alternate airport.
"Not that I don't mind them going out of harm's way..." Palutena thought, even as she turned her attention back and began casting divine wards to protect blocks and places where innocents would gather from their starting titanic rampage, "But such a pity as well. I think they're going to miss quite a spectacular show."
She thought the same for Pit, who's presently keeping an eye on Medusa at Hyrule. She hoped the goddess of darkness isn't planning to 'Goomba-Stomp' Hyrule Castle like she's planning to do so here with Bowser...

Based on a drabble I wrote at MrGeckus 's Divine Defender , which features a giant-sized Bowser about to go up against a giant-sized Palutena. Incidentally, that work inspired this, which I took 'Up To Eleven'.
Been a while messing with Inkscape and Gimp, but needed a way to deal with present stress and other issues. Hope this is up to quality.
Palutena, Bowser and the SSB-verse are all properties of Nintendo. Please support their official releases.
