Funny to see amidst the street photographs a picture of a lovely frog. Great shot, colour and lighting are great. Nitpicking: higher DOF might have been good - to get the other eye in partial focus.

hehe yeah i thought it was rather random too, but i was in the pet store when it was shot trying not to get caught by the employees.
i agree with you about the higher DOF but i only had limited light so i was forced to used a small/high/whatever (hehe the technical term of it confuses me still) aperture to avoid camera shake.

I get confused with the technical terms too, mainly because low aperture (larger number) = high DOF...I just remember they're the reverse of each other. Perfectly understandable about the camera shake - its easy for me to say 'a high DOF would be nice', but when it comes down to it the conditions of the scene are always much more complicated. Still, I love the shot - and I can't complain

hehe yeah i was tryin to explain all of this to a friend of mine, and it was just like, ok, lower number, more blurryness!!! lol. stupid confusing photography terms

He's beautiful. I think this is a really nice photograph actually. If you want a critique, the head could be very slightly lower in the frame as he looks like he's about to bust out of the photo (or maybe losing the border would do the trick?)
