Great shadows in this. It reminds me of old animated movies with talking animals where you never see the top half of humans. It shows the relationship between pet and master from more of the pet's point of view.

An absolutely beautiful black and white shot. The exposure is perfect in that I can see the details of her legs and arms and even the edges of the cat's frame. I love the darkness that surrounds this one lighted spot...it shows the spectacular contrast of lights and darks. I also love the lines that break up the shot, such as the frame of the bed and her legs and how her arm connects the two subjects that both run out of the shot.
A well thought out shot indeed. You applied and mastered both the basic and more complex elements/rules that make a photograph art.
