Buckpasser — Three Kingdoms Steeds

Description If you've played Koei's Dynasty Warriors, you'll recognize these three warhorses. (Someone's missing! Red Hare will get his own picture... since he's on a totally different level than any other horse.)

The title can be a bit misleading-- the historic novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms is based on that period in history. However, those horses don't represent each kingdom... two of the horses belong to Wei-- Shadow and Storm are presumably Cao Cao's... Not sure why Storm's design is in Wu red/gold colors, though.

These horses are awesome! Shadow Runner is my favorite! Storm Runner is great, but you also should have added Sun Jian's horse in there too! Or one of the Nanman Elephants!!!

dynasty warriors = love.

I always liked how you never had reins when you rode the horses, but in the cut-scenes the magically materialized.

They've gotten better about it in DW7! Though it seems kind of impossible to slash away with twin swords and hold the reins at the same time xD

Speaking of Lu Bu, I just uploaded Red Hare by himself. I'd hate for him to outshine the others!

The detail work they did on the Red Hare's armour was just amazing. I loved the design they used, the hoof ornaments were a neat touch.

Thanks much! It was a challenge to get the armor to look metallic. I feel like I only semi-succeeded!

I think they look great! Something I do if I want something to look metallic is use a white pencil for the highlights and a graphite pencil for some of the shadows. Maybe not the best method, but it's worked pretty well for me in the past
