Just a little scene I had in my head regarding Sonny's "job interview" for Chief Security Officer at O'Neil Tech.

After Sonny splits from Nigel and the Tokyo underworld, Sonny makes a tentative truce with the TMNT and April. A few months pass and life seems to settle into a new "normal" (before the TMNT, Sonny and her friends Troy and Aoki travel to Eastern Europe see, here: .) A bit before they all decide to leave, April approaches Sonny with an offer to become the fledgling O'Neil Tech's CSO or, Chief Security Officer. Her idea was that since Sonny, while working for Nigel, was able to successfully bypass the security measures Donatello set up and steal Don's keepsake Utrom tech. April felt that Sonny's criminal expertise in getting around high-tech security might be valuable in making sure other criminal elements aren't successful like Sonny was. April also believed Sonny trustworthy because Sonny "died" saving her daughter Shadow and Rowan's son, Joaquin, from Nigel before he had them skinned alive.

Anyway, after the team returns from their adventure in Eastern Europe, Sonny is given the position of CSO at O'Neil Tech and thus, started the eventual friendship that she and Donatello develop. Because they have to work together, they eventually start to really get to know each other and understand each other.

Don: "April, I -am- a ninja, you know. I can take care of O'Neil Tech's security. Really."

April: "I know, Donnie...

"But if we make Sonny our CSO, you'll be free to concentrate on our work. She has experience with this stuff. I feel the best person to protect O'Neil Tech from people like Sonny...is Sonny herself."

Don: "April, I installed fingerprint recognition locks, advanced camera systems, thermo-lazer-"

Sonny: "Yes, yes. But, none of that stopped me from stealing your keepsake Utrom tech. Or, am I misremembering?"

Heh. Sorry. Sonny being a smug little brat in the beginning of the reformed relationship she has with the TMNT entertains me!
