Probably a little less than 1000 feet in the picture, and I'm not sure how tall she really is... guessing 5'6" ish, maybe a little shorter, in real life.Β

She looks like she's going to enjoy crushing the plane.

Can never go wrong with Katelyn! The hair is spectacular, and you gotta love that playful expression. Well done!

This is awesome, but of course all your work is anyway, lol. But love the playful expression and can really see what you mean with the hair extraction method, its flawless

Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β  ....on a side note,I've seen this on other peoples collages as well, not sure if it's a subtle watermark but you see random almost transparent circles on some images and never knew what that was, lol.

Haha, thank you! This hair extraction was slightly different than the one in my brunette tutorial, because she had a blue sky background, but if you get creative it's not too hard to figure out.Β

The stock photo I used for the background had that kinda orangeish flame-like shaped glare on the bottom right, which means the sun is just off camera left... and conditions like this are when you'll get the most apparent smudges/orbs from fingerprints/dust on the camera lens (assuming the lens isn't clean)... so I thought that if I added a dust layer above everything it would help it look like it was really a photograph.

Thanks for the insight, makes sense As for hair extraction my best bet is GIMP I think, tons of tutorials which are very similar to your methods.

LOL......hey,I'm still hoping they'll be able to do this in like two clicks and done.

I've honestly thought of writing out a machine learning program to do it for me. xD

Haha.......you speak a language I'm certainly not familiar with my friend. Took up computers way later in my life and all self taught,so much to learn.

Machine learning is kind of like AI... it's a program that can be taught to do something seemingly complex from a set of examples of correct/incorrect ways of doing it (i.e. self driving cars). It's definitely plausible that if I did enough cutouts, and in some ways recorded everything I did, Β I could teach a program to do it for me - especially if they're all off solid backgrounds like Winz's studio sets.Β

Sounds very interesting.....kind of reminds me of those 3D printers where they actually produced a working wrench to use from it,it was amazing.Yeah those self driving cars are wild, makes it a breeze for those tough parking spots, lol.
