#67: Van can be pretty wise once in a while.What's this? Another comic arc?! *faints*
Nah, it's actually just a mini-arc for Valentine's Day. XP Starring in this arc are my Krawk Island pets, Darrell, Audrey, Van, and Fiddler. :3
Darrell's trying to ask Audrey out for a Valentine's dinner, but he's still afraid of destroying their (totally professional) relationship after what happened in Howl Hall. Van tells him some advice, only to have it backfire on him.
As you probably have noticed, I didn't do any shading. I was in an art slump during the making of the comic, and since the deadline to submit it to the NT was too close, I got rid of the cel shading and highlighting. I sorta wish I could have shaded it, but it would have been saved until next year. XP; So yeah. Sorry for the lack of proper quality. owo;
Anywho, this is Van's first talking role in the comics. Woot! Van was actually in the Beauty Contest, back when he was on my main account for zapping. XP Also, I forgot to draw his kneepads. XP;
Also, you may have noticed Audrey's outfit change. This is her working uniform, since she works at the Golden Dubloon with her brother, Fiddler (who's also in the background).

Hey, Buizel. I have some questions I've always wanted to ask you:
1. How old are your pets? (at least just the TAR brothers.)
2. How can the TAR brothers be brothers when they're all different species? Are they like, stepbrothers? If they ARE real brothers, what about they're parents? What species are THEY?
(Me and this guy --> have been wondering about this for a pretty long time! Isn't that right, Ilya?)

1. They don't have a specific age, but I'm guessing that most of them are in their teens. Howl, of course, is older, and Zappz is the youngest.
2. They're Neopets, so they don't have to be the same species or have parents. XP (Remember Sophie's family from the Tale of Woe? And the royal family in Shenkuu?)

Neopets can be related even if they're completely different species. For example, Bruno, Reginald, and Sophie from the Tale of Woe are siblings, and their mom is a Zafara and their dad is a Skeith.

I was about to say, I thought this was Van's first time speaking in one of your comics. ^.^
This looks great though, even without shading. I can't wait to see more. ^.^ It's also nice to see that your characters aren't restricted to just one outfit. Even if it's seldom, it's always good to change up a character's attire in some scenes/stories. It gives a better sense of what their style is/what they do as a hobby/line of work/ yadda yadda...
(This reminds me that I really need to finish up some Valentine 'cards' before the 14th, featuring Feyoni. 
(Also, I decided to try my hand at a Valentines comic for the NT as well. It's only a one panel, but I still hope that it gets in. If not, I suppose I could still upload the large version here on DA.
