You never know when you can get a good shot - we thought we wouldn't get anything due to the overcast skies, but luckily I took my camera anyways. This is False Creek in Vancouver. (It's not a creek, it's actually just a small harbour.) I love this place.

Beautiful, I love the reflection of the city on the water, however the city just seems to blend in with the sky...so it didn't capture my eye as fast as it generally should have.

yeah, that is what vancouver is like. i'm not sure what i could have done about it. it is always grey and rainy here, so i figure i can either take pictures with that atmosphere or take none at all :S
any technique suggestions to improve it?

Yeah, I totally understand. I've been up there before.
Maybe setting the contrast a little higher or a little lower so that the buildings POP
would be appropriate, but if it's always grey and rainy, there isn't too much to be done about it

Wow, very stunning! Ive seen hundreds of pictures of these tall, slender no-name brand buldings in Van, but nothing this interesting! Lovely dark blue tone, and the high contrast just gives it a lovely mood! Wonderful stuff there!

because all of the buildings look similar and the whole skyline is very bland. i like the photo however. the reflection is very nice
