Yesterday goes by in the blink of an eye my friend, but don't take offense to when I call it old school. I call even 2007 anime old school, because anime is changing so fast, it's like there are generational differences in the series that come out. You can't find the same depth of older anime in the 2000s animes, and yet you can't find the same action packed craziness and grit moving forward into the 2010 era anime. It's changing all the time, for better or worse, we'll just have to see.

2000s?! I'm ready to get in my Delorean and head back to 1985! But, yeah, it changes fast. I'm a product of my childhood for sure. Seems that beyond the 70s, 80s and 90s, there isn't a whole lot that getsmore than passing interest from me. I'm so out of the loop on post 2000s stuff I probably shouldn't even comment on the modern stuff.
