I enjoyed drawing this. I was still confronted with a rather awkward dilemma when it came down to getting the perspective right, but the defect has been made in the early doodle stages, so pretend you don't see it!The idea for this comic was born several months ago. I started thinking about Alf for no particular reason, and then the trail immediately associated with the ruins from Gold and Silver. Combine that with how the hallways are riddled with pokemon statues, and the idea appealed to me tremendously.
I doubt everyone in the audience will immediately get the joke though, and I'm far from judging. Especially since I only know OF him and haven't seen the show personally.

there was an old TV show when i was a kid called ALF (Alien Life-Form) and basically it was about an alien that looked exactly as those statues do, trying to adjust to living amongst humans.
now in pokemon there's a set of ruins and i believe it's spelled Ruins of Alph, like shown above. the joke is ALF the alien in place of the Ryhorn statues in the pokemon ruins.
