Description
I'm artblocked on my OCs lately, so I started doodling some fanart of my current favourite show, Pacman And The Ghostly Adventures!
Except I really suck at drawing the pac people in the pac artsyle so I've developed a habit of humanizing them. And, no offense to the show, I kinda think they'd work better this way. Or if they were all wolves. Or inanimate objects. Or literally anything other than pac people. The show kinda loses out by being called "pacman", since its actually OBSCENELY original and has pretty much nothing to do with any sort of prior pacman continuity. Even Pac himself is a completely different character to the normal one. (Honestly they shoulda just called him Pacboy? Cos he's like.. ten...) Really it just seems like some original anime franchise with a lot of pacman in-jokes thrown in.
Which is good I suppose, cos I never really liked regular pacman yet I love this version!

Anyway, this is the main villain, Betrayus. (and President Spheros being jealous of his swag)
He's the pimpin' awesome king of ghosts. Backstory goes that long ago there was a faction war and ethnic cleansing of the former ruling class, the magically-endowed Yellows. And then the rest of the pac people rounded up the rebels after the war had ended, and executed them en-masse. Apparantly including their families, since there's notably a fair few ghost children and four of them are even main characters
So yeah, souls of dead war criminals broke out of hell to take revenge thanks to Pac accidentally opening the barrier between worlds, and now he has to defeat them using his magic powers as the last of the Yellows, etc etc BIG SHONEN HERO PLOT. You can definately tell that it was made in japan! (fun trivia: the english version was made first though, and the japanese dub only just came out.)
Oh, and yeah, Pac's magical powers involve eating the ghosts alive in various semi-disturbing ways. This show is so weirdly dark without actually being dark XD MAGICAL CANNIBAL POWERS ACTIVATE~

Betrayus is goddamn awesome cos.. well, just look at him! An old man goth! That's so cool!
And he's like.. THE CHIPPEREST MAN ALIVE. Hammyness extreme! he's so gosh darn HAPPY to be the villain, he acts like an evil overlord fanboy or something XD Practising his evil speeches in front of the mirror for hours at a time...
I mean like.. seriously. Most villains look like that because the writers think it looks more evil or something. Betrayus looks like that because that's his fashion sense. Apparantly he decided he really needed to look the part if he was gonna rule the underworld. "I NEED KNIFE GLOVES. BECAUSE REASONS."
Acting like a character who's acting out a stage persona is a really difficult thing, so his voiceactor is goddamn awesome ^_^
