I absolutely love this piece. A lovely warm glow around the diners, a subtle grey sky muting the buildings. And the women with the apron, she is probably listening to a request by a diner, yet the turn of her left foot gives her a winsome look.
The contrast in the colors of the building and sky with that of the street cafe scene, invokes an idea that these diners have left a stagnate job in the city and are now relaxing in the warmth of companionship and sharing what really matters.
I may be way off but that is what I got from the piece. It's gorgeous.
