Why can't I stop staring at this picture? It's so intimate and mysterious though, looks like a scene out of a movie. I can't help, but ask... Are they both men? (Seriously looks like a man's hand grasping his shoulder.) That seriously just makes the moment even more amazing. A rendezvous on a street corner~ It's terribly romantic. β₯

It's very sharp wide open, very small and light, manual focus only, and it's a steal at 400 USD.

It is for anything you want to use it for. I think it works well for street shooting though.

ive to admit that when it comes to night photography your one of the best...oh im curious do you use tripod to shoot all of these beautiful photographs of yours? especially on this picture, " D R U N K", "Love hotels" and "Helping Hands". coz all of them r crystal clear to me , so i wonder whether you use tripod or not...

fast lens? what brand is your lens? and te model of it? how bout white balance ? does white balance play role on your night photography? if it is what white balance you use on those 4 picture that i mention earlier?

I use a Voigtlander 40mm f/2. As for white balance, at night I use shoot incandescent set to very warm. But since I shoot in RAW, I usually modify the white balance in post.

It helps. I think you can pick up a second-hand D3 for less than 2 grand now, and a D700 for around 1k.

I use a canon 7d. its bricked right now but I have a 50 1.4 and a 28 1.8.
I'm so broke I can't fix the 7.

When you take photos do you know your subjects? Do they know you are photographing them?

I don't know any of them. And they almost never know about the photos. This is street photography; candid, real-life moments of strangers in public.

That's really cool.
I wish I had the courage to do that. On the few occasions I have gone out to photograph at night I've been too scared to take photos of people doing things.
