I love the futuristic look the antennas give to the whole picture!

I can't help but picture a little ninja somersaulting his way across these rooftops.

That would be cool! Or a Gundam in the sky.

No amount of digital magic can help when the original photo has nothing enchanting in it. Luckily, that is not the case with this shot, a warmer palette of hues definitely enhances the photo. It is a fine view, the antennae on top of the buildings definitely make the scene distinctly Japanese.

Thank you! I totally agree! My goal is never to fix bad photos with fancy editing. But in this case, I wanted to go with playful series that brings attention to the form of the rooftops with a smattering of vivid colors. More to come!

You have definitely met that goal thus far, I am certainly looking forward to more.

This is a really nice new style, I love it. Does this style have a name? I don't think I've ever seen someone do it before.

I don't know! In many ways I'm inspired by the aesthetics of vaporware, which often makes use of gradients of vivid colors. Glad you like it, though! There is more to come!

Nice one. I like this kind of Miniseries. I have to say though that the pinkish tone of the part of this on the picture before was a bit nicer for me. On this one on the other hand the rare side- lighting on the buildings is way cooler on this distance. I also love the single Person standing in the left corner. Can t say why, but it adds character to this even more. Glad that I m watching you.

You wouldn't believe how hard it is to pick the tones, haha! I have another of this shot with green / yellow tones. Anyway, this is an ongoing project so I might revisit certain images and change the colors. Thank you for watching!

I believe that instantly I have not much clues about photography, but at least I know this and that about colortheory. A greenish version sounds pretty good to me (favorite color) and I m looking forward to the next piece of this collection. Watching you is me a pleasure :3 Have a fine day out there.

It does! But be aware, this was manipulated when editing the raw. It did not look like that when I shot it.

Burningmonk,

I use Aurora HDR 2018,
which I can create layers, and use brushes to separate areas locally to adjust...
if its something you are interested in, helps me get what I am trying to achieve.

This is a beautiful piece of art, though the light shade on the left should be added. Other than that it is pretty great.

burningmonk In reply to Rainurr [2018-03-15 06:37:21 +0000 UTC]

Thank you very much! I made quite a few of these with different shades. It's done purely by adjusting the white balance of the photograph. So I cannot add shades locally to different parts of the image.
