AGE: About 10-12 weeks
BREED: 1/4 Californian 3/4 Flemish Giant

Daughter of Zoey and this purebred flemish I had (which I later found out he was inbred- he was very nice, but had to be put down due to physical suffering from bad breeding- he couldn't walk at all, he cringed every time you touched him, his eyes were always filled with pain... that was a very sad day, but after he died his expression looked like he was finally at rest. RIP my buddy!)

Issue with her: She began to show some of the same signs as her dad. She would cringe when you would pet her, but could hop around at least. When I say cringe, I don't mean the little flinch bunnies do when you start petting them, I mean like "ouch that hurts" cringe and she would twist her head almost 90 degrees just like her father did if you tried to pet him.
Another problem with her was severe aggression toward other rabbits, even when in separate cages (she would bash herself up against the walls and do her best to claw/bite at everyone else).

IN SHORT: I'm sorry I didn't know the buck was inbred sooner. On the bright side, his two sons seem to be doing just fine so far. Fingers crossed that they didn't catch any bad genes from the father! (They are one of my friends' pets and like I said, are doing good- no health issues yet.)

Rabbit breeders/buyers of all kinds: Please be aware of who you are buying from! Ask breeders for references of past customers. Ask those customers if they've noticed anything wrong with their rabbits. If I had known to ask about the breeder of the buck I bought, I would have known not to buy him. (Then again if I didn't, he'd still be suffering, so for his sake I'm happy I did find him.)

Status
This bunny has been case skinned and is waiting to be prepped and tanned (currently froze- waiting for an entire batch of furs before I start a tanning batch)
has chosen to trade this rabbit for my commission with her.
