Description I love David Lynch's version of Frank Herbert's 'Dune', even though it misses out much of the book's subtlety and political intrigue. Even though other versions have followed the book more accurately, in terms of tone, Lynch totally nailed it.

Here's my version of Paul Atreides, Muad'Dib.

I wrote a whole article about how to me, the movie made by David Lynch will always be the best Dune experience: [link]

Thanks. Yup, loved those weirding modules. I saw the film before I read the book and was pretty sad when the sound weapons were no where to be seen. But at least they kept the shield fighting!

Awesome work. I'm a big fan of Lynch's film (second to the novels, of course. ), particularly the visuals. The Weirding Modules, while inaccurate to the book, was a good way of explaining the growing power of the new Atreides army without having to explain the history of the Sardaukar, etc.
