(Don't say I didn't warn you about the Dune fan art!)Paul Atreides! I can't say anything about him without blurting a spoiler or two, this portrait already is a spoiler of sorts (okay, I didn't have to mention that either). Let's just say he's ...important (hello understatement!). Okay I'll shut up now.
This turned out rather nice by chance. Unlike the Kynes portrait, I hardly noticed 'working' on it. Fun and spontaneous. (Too bad this fun and spontaneous niceness happens so rarely )
Anyway, I like how this turned out, left it a little rough on purpose, was afraid of overworking it. The eyes are meant to be that blue bla bla bla...

okay, i have no clue what dune is, except there was a game called that, that i never played. hehe. it did have a desert environment...nice shading! especially the face1 but i daresay i still lean towards the bearded gentleman. XD

Dune is a series of books, there are games based on the books too. The place 'Dune' itself is a desert planet, the only planet that produces the valuable spice Melange. Addiction to the spice gives a person the blue eyes.

I love Dune! And he looks just the right amount of weather-beaten and blue-eyed and look-into-the-distance-y. Though my mental image of Paul is always younger... maybe cause of my undue focus on the first book! Great work
