2 is from studying paintings of those classical Chinese paintings; 4 from looking at various art from Hyung Tae Kim; think i've improved

I like the first one.  However I would like to see a combination of #1 and #2 or #3.  This is because I think that combining the soft look and a defined look would make it look really nice.  I saw a tutorial were you start off with a soft base then draw on top the more defined hair strands.  Then highlight and highlighted strands were drawn.
