Two crowns... one for the king and one for the queen, I guess!

I love the depth of field here! It creates a softness throughout the image that is very calming but the sharp focus on the ...aww crap, forgot what those things are... we will just say, flower tenticles... , really gives your eye something to hone in on rather than an overly soft image in general.

Im also rather impressed at the low noise at such a high ISO. Did you reduce it by some means or was that how it came out?

Nice shot

Thank you! If you check out my work regularly, you'll notice I sometimes include information on plants and plant parts... That's as good a reason as any for watching me.

But, seriously, yeah, the stamen turned out very well in this shot. As for the ISO, this one is only 200, so very little noise at all. (It was a high shutter speed, though.) Some of my other images are higher ISO and a bit of noise is evident. On occasion, I will use NeatImage for smoothing, but I find lately that I often prefer to leave the grain.

Huh... I could have sworn I saw 1600 for the ISO but apparently I wasnt paying that close attention.

It's ok. I uploaded my color blur called Maple Mistake just automatically in the plants and flowers category. Sometimes we run on semi-auto-pilot and mis-read/click, etc.
