A well-tempered, mild-mannered, and compassionate individual, Kaesan is often seen as a beacon of warmth and light in far contrast to the harsh region of Nohr he resides in. His concerns concern for those he cares for--namely the common-folk, has tested the limits of his strength and will time and time again. But has proven to have the determination to persist even past his limits to see through any obstacle set before him.

Despite seeming to be the epitome of a true leader, he has a difficult time keeping a level composure when interacting with women outside of the field of battle, and often retreats within himself, or tries to remove himself from conversations altogether.

A rider without pier perhaps save for the crown prince Xander, Kaesan is more comfortable and at home in the saddle than he seems to be on his own two feet most of the time.

History:
Raised in to a Nohrian noble house, Kaesan's earliest years were spent in the royal courts of Windmire. His father Garreth, once a highly renowned figurehead--served alongside King Garon in some of his earliest conquests.

Never getting to truly know his own father before he vanished mysteriously without trace when out on one of Nohr's conquests. His mother Gwyndelle would eventually re-marry to another nobleman named Thaulos. Leaving the Teranethil name to Kaesan, and the position of his father replaced by a man named Iago--A man whom remains an enigma to him.

Kaesan's step-father was an abusive, cruel man. Who in his eyes was very much alike to the man who had taken his father's role beside the king. Forced to live on the Lord Thaulos' estate from his late childhood to early adulthood, breaking Kaesan's will became his sole ambition--seeing the potential the boy had to becoming an invaluable soldier to Nohr. Forcing the young Kaesan in to extensive labor in the village called Frostveil at the foot of the manor.

Kaesan's will could not be broken, however. In a ruthless act of frustration Thaulos killed Gwyndelle before Kaesan, which drove the mild mannered young man in to a blind rage leading to the evisceration of the cruel noble by the blade of his father, Garreth.

From that day on Kaesan assumed regency of Thaulos' estate. No actions would be taken against him doing so, for reasons unknown. Seen as a hero by the people of Frostveil, Kaesan spent the fortune amassed by his own and his step-fathers houses to help the village grow in to a thriving town known for its valued exports of both wine from locally grown grapes, and the finest horses in all of Nohr--including horses used by the Nohrian royal family.

Ruling since age 17, he shaped himself in to being the best ruler he could possibly be to his people. Far more concerned for their well-being as opposed to the grand schemes of Nohr. He has become rather complacent to Garon and the Nohrian forces' demands as so to keep the people taken care of and well fed. Though there is no telling where he lies in the scheme of the coming war, or what extremes Nohr may take which may push him over the edge. Only time will tell.

* Back when Fire Emblem Fates released, I had gotten the special edition and played all three campaigns back to back. Kaesan was my avatar for Conquest.
* I based him as a Magic focused user in a physical damage role because in Shadow Dragon i rolled the character Merric as a Paladin and gave him a Levin Sword.
* Kaesan was my Cleric in the first DDAL campaign I ever played in. The campaign was 'Out of the Abyss' ...I called it Outtabyss.
* Kaesan's sword Fimblventr takes it's name of the ice-based Anima tome from the Fire Emblem GBA titles.
* 'Augustus', his horse takes his name from the last name of the Roman emperors, much as the English translation for Marx (Xander) took in inspiration from the real world conqueror, Alexander.
