This was NOT supposed to look like Ben Mulroney... but, you know, the yellow, glowing eyes are eerily similar.Anyway, given the fact that there seems to be limited free time in my 'life' as of late, this has been picked at ten minutes here, ten minutes there. It's a, um, werewolf aristocrat. Or something. Just like Ben Mulroney. DAMMIT. TOO MUCH CANADIAN IDOL FUCK. (Random note: Earl is my hero. )
There is probably a delicious backstory here, but Katie is too tired to think of one, and is going to pop in Phantom of the Opera to entertain until sleepy time; Oh god Gerard Butlergasm. Uuhhhh... his name is... uh.... LOUIS! Yes, that will do.
Anyone have a good clothes painting tutorial?
More importantly, if Ben Mulroney is a werewolf brat, is Justin Trudeau is an elven prince? We all know Duceppe is their Faerie king, and Layton some sort of wood brownie.

AAaaahh Ger-gasm, woooooo! i just abt swoon (and i am NOT the swooning type) everytime i think of that delicious body in dashing velvet vests and tight black pants (as if such tight butt-hugging leatheresque pants ever existed in the 19th century!) and delish swooshy cloak (yeah, the dashing Zorro-esque swooossshHH of the cloak everytime he turns around) ..... Makes u wonder what on earth the movie Christine sees in that pretty boy Raoul! whose skinny chest can barely support the dashing-ness of low cut ruffled poet shirts and swashbuckling swords!

Just... such a good movie. You know, I love Erik more than Raoul even when he's a dripping gob of twisted flesh, so having a semi-nude Gerard play him didn't help ol' wimpy Vicompte much.

And making up those wacky backstories is the best part of making up new and random characters, methinks. You did a great job setting the stage with, erm, Louis! Now I'm interested!

Uh, random practicing over the years, painting from life, and all that jazz. Yeah, painting from life helps a lot. All stuff like this is just done with 'wet' brushes on low opacity, with textures slapped on overtop to cover up some of the mistakes.
Playing around with layers modes and blurring layers is always fun. Like, copying the skin layer, pasting, setting to soft light, and blurring (as in this case.)
