William was born into a high-class equestrian family and was always pressured to make something of himself in the equestrian world; he was homeschooled, and rather than spending time with friends he was required to take additional riding lessons. His parent's vision didn't turn out quite as planned, Will rebelled against their strict training schedule and began to behave recklessly. Rather than spend time in the saddle he would visit clubs in the city and became increasingly aggressive towards others. It wasn't long before he was hospitalized after a particularly bad altercation - his parents took him to buy a horse that he could train in the hopes that he would return to the life that they had wanted for him.

Blue Jay wasn't quite the high-class competitor they were hoping Will would choose, but their bond is strong, and Will is finally starting to take the competitive scene seriously.
