Very nice, its unsual to see a tropical beach themed artwork under such a dark sky too, but indeed it adds a lot of mood the red sand makes it look like this is the edge of a desert

This was actually a pretty common occurrence during the day of sail. Ships were gently beached at high tide, and 'careened', the hulls scraped of barnacles, and any seams that were leaking were recaulked.

Bit of trivia: The lowest seam, nearest the keel, was known as 'The Devil'. That's because it was the hardest one to get to, and you had the least amount of time to recaulk or 'pay' the seam. Hence the term: "Pay the Devil" or "The Devil to Pay" when something is very difficult!
