Julie Pace was a multi-sport athlete in school, competing in field hockey, cross country and soccer. Blessed with stamina and intense competitiveness, Julie's ambition was to become a fitness model but her first job at an insurance agency tied her to a desk all day. She took up boxercise workouts as a way to stay in tip top shape while holding down her desk job. She jumped at the chance when her boxercise trainer invited her to to try some real sparring with several other girls in her class to help them prepare for a charity all-girls' boxing tournament. Sparring was a revelation as Julie soon discovered that she enjoyed the thrill of actual boxing. She discovered that she had a naturally devastating left hook that helped her to dominate slower opponents. She won all of her matches in the charity tournament and became totally hooked on competitive boxing.
She registered as an amateur boxer and won several sanctioned fights but she also suffered several setbacks at the regional level against more experienced boxers. Despite the setbacks Julie decided to turn pro where her big left hook could decide fights in a hurry. Her aggressive style and quickness earned her the nickname "Pepper". She is now trying to find her true level as a pro boxer after a mix of wins and losses.
