BETWEEN ROUNDS FOUR AND FIVE:
Commentator Melissa Miller also took stock of the fight situation from her place at ringside.
"Katie Keaton blew that round badly but I don't count her out of this yet. She's taken everything that the Mexican's thrown at her so far and she's beaten up a bit but the dynamic in the red corner is Katie getting mad and determined to stay in this fight. Ramirez got away with some dodgy tactics in Round Four and that tells me she's getting a little rattled by Katie's tenacity under fire. Katie hurt Ramirez bad in Round Three and she could do that again if Ramirez leaves an opening. La Pantera is breathing heavy and that tells me she's starting to get gassed. She just had a great round but she didn't get the job done, Keaton is coming out again for Round Five and there have to be some questions in the Meican corner about how far into a ten rounder Ramirez can keep it up against a fighter who is not intimidated by her and has already shown she can stand and trade with her. Yes the Mexican has the upper hand on the scorecards and she's just had her best round of the fight but boxing is a sport where nothing like that matters if your opponent finds a way to hit you hard. It can be lights out any time if you screw up inside the boxing ring. If Katie gets an opening she's got what it takes to turn this fight back her way, and this home crowd will be behind her big time if she starts to make a comeback. It's not over yet and that means just one thing really. It's not over! The longer Katie can hang in the better her chance for a comeback will be, so Ramirez had still better go for another KO as soon as possible. Katie's a survivor and survivors in boxing can still kick your ass if you start to get tired!"
