I'm working on a new personal project - I've had the general idea in my head for a while now. Last night my boyfriend and I brain stormed (cause our ideas play well off each other) and I got the whole story down. I may turn this into an illustrated novel or a comic... or something.So, today, I did a concept for it.
A random fish mermaid, based off of a Maldives Lyretail Anthias.
It started as a rough painting and with some edits, I "inked" it repainted it - and saved some progress shots.
I don't think I'll be adding a background, seeing as this is a LOW res image and was more of a test.
Both as a concept art for the story and some characters and as a test for some new photoshop brushes.

Gorgeous. I love the process AND the final product. I always love to see the procedures that each artist goes through to make their pieces of art such a beauty.

Interesting-looking character. I always enjoy seeing peoples' step-by-step process when they create art; the end results here are beautiful.
On a seperate note, how have things been for you since graduation? Are you working now, or did you not pick any of the offers given at the show? If you're working now, how are you liking it so far?
I'm doing fine. I'm actually still waiting on Bakia to give me the quicktime of the title card animation (hate to keep bringing that up, but I do want to put it up on the website).
