Something I did to relieve a little stress built up by too much schoolwork to do. When the winter comes and it is dark and cold, with ice and snow, I tend to be really content. It also makes me in the mood for soft, warm and bright things, and I guess the same goes for art. So I tried to convey all these emotions into this painting of Miranda, my beautiful vampire girl who's taking up a lot of space lately.I tried a few new things in this piece, mostly using a mix of painting and photos. The base is painted, while I then added the nose, eyes, lips hair and fur from different photos, and then painting over them. It was a fun little experiment, and I'm quite content with the overall look of it
Also, since it's the second Sunday in Advent, I thought this was a nice title. Thank god for us Sweds love for cosy, Christmas traditions :Β΄)

Wow, Miranda might be my favorite of your characters- I just love all the art you do featuring her. The array of colors in this is beautiful, conveying the balance of warm/cold very well.

The colours in this are just so well blended, everything looks so soft and warm~ You succeeded in that :3 And the fur's great as always.

Haha, that's awesome! It's been snowing a lot up here, and it's really pretty outside! There was one magical morning sometime last week when I went to school, it was ridiculously cold, so all the trees were completely white, and there was snow everywhere. And to top it all of, there were mist in the air, and a subtle, warm morning light that bathed everything in soft golden, pink and blue tones! It was so beautiful :Β΄)

Lol! I think I've heard that too XD I don't think there are many lumberjacks here, at least any that I know... I think it just has to do with us settling here XD We don't cut that many trees here in London though; London is the City of Trees in Canada, yay!

Heh, I don't know where they got that stereotype from. The average Swedish person is silent, insecure and very afraid of what others thinks of him/her XP We're not a very sexy country XP
That's so awesome, because I also think of Viking hats when I think of Sweden XΒ΄D That and moose!
It's fun because in my favourite part of Stockholm, there's this street called VΓ€sterlΓ₯nggatan (a very beautiful place, just look: [link] ) They have so many awesome shops there, but it's also crowded with tourists, and filled with souvenir shops that sell sexy Vikings, Viking hats, moose-related stuff, more Vikings, Swedish flags... and some more moose XP
