This cartoon is basically a Magical Girl show made for boys. I can't believe it.I haven't drawn anything in 3 months. This is the best I can do right now. I'm gonna keep trying though. This was so much harder than it should have been.
I've been studying different artists I admire's art and trying to find common things I like in them to try and adapt to my own style. One thing I noticed is a looser approach to line-art. Mine is far too controlled. so I tried to loosen it up a little bit.
The end result here isn't bad. But I am frustrated how hard it was to draw such a simple picture.

I've been trying similar things. My lines are too exact and "it's gotta be exactly thisΒ angle!" And if I'm going to draw more or use the tablet more, I need to let some of that go. I think you did very nicely here. I love the eyes, especially; nicely curved eyes like that are my fav things to doodle.
