yay, I love nice and shiny cellophane. ^___^Here are two of my fake-retail versions of Changeling Challenge, a tabletop shooting game that parodies a lot of the game toys I used to love as a kid. ^^
It's also my answer to the really bad performance of the original Changeling Challenge booth game at Bronycon, which was very fun only for the few people who managed to play it (due to the gun jamming and high maintenance of the targets). As a booth game it had no future, but there was still a HUGE demand for Twilight Guns, so of course I'm more than happy to oblige. ^^
And speaking of obliging, if you're interested in your own box, just note me please and we can discuss something. ^___^
As for where to go from here....
Due to the flexibility of the template, I'd like to create an SDC version of Changeling Challenge eventually, more as a showcase of my ability to custom-tailor this game with OC art. On the same vein, I have another fellow interested in creating a variant of Changeling Challenge based on Ponyville Ghostbusters. ^^
And then after that, of course, is the epic board game I want to create as well, which I'm absolutely stoked for! >v<

lol, and it's worse yet, the game has been discontinued LONG ago. You contemplated throwing money at the screen half a year too late... but thanks anyway, though. XD

I always seem to be a day late and a dollar short. Oh well at least I can dream, though It really is a shame this just looks so professionally done from the artwork being phenomenal even down to the smaller things like the tally sheet or even the cups I could not even imagine how hard it would be to make something like this.

I had a system in place that would allow me to assemble these in about 3 hours or so cumulatively (the trick being to assemble the individuals pieces a lot at a time, and then combine them all together in one go to have up to 10 boxes made in one sitting). So time wasn't so much of a problem as cost,... these things were still pretty pricey to make due to the quality of the components (especially the TwiGun itself, which is Nerf-powered).
Also didn't help that despite selling or giving it out to so many people, I never once got feedback from it, so to this day I still don't know if people like it or hated it or whatever,... I'm sure more of the latter, since the gun wasn't exactly a high-quality plastic molded job or anything.
In the end it was more of a proof of concept anyway, and I even tried to approach the Big H with the idea, but I never got a response back. And once their recent crackdown on the community disgusted me beyond belief (especially with Mane6, which was my last draw), I pretty much closed shop on all MLP merch... or fan support for that matter. I'm sure they're happy to burn that particularly bridge, though I can't say as I've lost any sleep for it myself... I have my own characters to work with.

I can't say why you didn't get any feedback at all but I am sure people didn't hate it. Even if it wasn't made of plastic or anything just owning it would be pretty radical. About not getting any response back from the big cheese(legs) I figure that's their own fault for not wanting to make money and I feel in the end you probably made the right decision on that. One last thing if your talking about THE Mane6 then I just wanted to say while that disappoints me the reason why it happened is pretty understandable so I really can't blame anyone in that regard.

I'm pretty sure someone complained to Hasbro, possibly in connection to that game event thing. It's not entirely their fault given how broken copyright law is in the country, but with good communication that issue could have been avoided. They could learn a lot from how Japanese companies take advantage of the free-advertising potential of fan communities, and let creativity flourish almost largely unabated (with some notable exceptions).
But so long as the communication isn't there, then fear, uncertainty and doubt will definitely cripple a fandom's potential in the long run.

Thank you. Initially I'm setting this at $40 to offset the high R&D cost. I'd also like to offer some customization option, in case people want their OCs on this instead. Surely some Fallout Equestria version of Changeling Challenge could be pretty famous, I know one fellow who wants me to consider a version for Ponyville Ghostbusters. ^^
