Description A better close-up view of our most successful booth game of all at Bronycon: Spider Toss!!! Clearly a little battle-damaged, but still perfectly usable and just as fun to play as it was to see others play it!

The game is based off the first "fun" activity that Princess Luna tries out in Luna Eclipsed, and adds an addicting skeeball twist to it!

You lob a triplet of three beanie spiders (courtesy of the uber-talented ) into any of the cobwebs/holes you see... the smaller the hole, the more points you receive.

The game was very simple to play, fun to watch in a gathering, and also very cheap ($0.25 per three round toss), so it wasn't surprising that we had a nice crowd on both days for this. And if I had a penny for every time I heard "HAHA! The fun has been DOUBLED!!", I surely would have doubled my profits.

But in all serious, we all had a blast with this (more than Changeling Challenge), and although the stand wasn't finished in time for the con, it still managed to physically hold together despite the countless pelting with plush spiders.

The board is made with construction paper, while the printed Luna, Pipsqueak and spiders were vector-drawn by me, and printed on tabloid-sized presentation matte paper. I'll post their vectors up in the next few days. ^^

It's kinda sad you don't see things like this at parties anymore I would love to have this, even if I'm not so young. It reminds me so much of parties as a young kid. Plus Luna and Pipsqueak! Who wouldn't love it?

Is that a fact, eh?
Well... guess I'll just have to look into making board game versions of Spider Toss too, hehe! ^.^

Oh, and that reminds me... I have to post that Luna+Pip artwork this weekend...

Still wish we had done the Hay Toss too, but there'll be time in the future I'm sure. ^^

hehe, well granted we didn't have that many kids, but those that did come absolutely LOVED it! One kid kept playing again and again, until he managed to score a high tier prize! [that was a very exciting grand finale!] ^^

aww~ wow that is really adorable *^^*

You throw parties with these for others? Like help setup birthday parties and such events for parents in your area or just experiences you had with your own family at the parties?

You know I wish you worked at Hasbro's toy line because Pinata Ponies and that Luna Spider Toss game are just the things kids love. I have fond memories of when I was 5 at a birthday party with all the good old classic streamers and pin the tail on the donkey and twister and PINATAS! So many fun games and these days you hardly see those anymore.

Do you run your own party supply store or something or just a hobbyist? Either way you sure make some fun and colorful games with these ponies. Glad to hear the game was such a hit with the kids as I probably would of had at that age myself heheh

Thank you. ^^

Haha, and well no,... I'd love to say I do, but truth is I just got into the piΓ±ata-making, booth-gaming business very recently. Up until I got into MLP, I was a bit of a reclusive digital artist only.

LONG before that, when I was a kid, my mother and I used to make very clever parties and costumes, though -- I was able to dress up in ways that would make most cosplayers jealous. XD

Granted it was mostly paper-based, so I guess that was always my forte. In any event, it's nice to be able to revive some of those old family traditions into this day and age where, as you say, most of that is already lost.

Best of all, these are just what I have now... I'm still working on some additional physical product ideas that would SURELY make you smile, as they too would be totally awesome for parties, sleep over and other social events (e.g., board games)!

And lol, not yet, so for the moment I'm mainly a hobbyist/small businessman. But hey, at least I have the foot in the door on the POSSIBILITY of my own retail store at some point... probably after my move. At the very least, I'll set up an Etsy shop. ^^
