…Things did not go uphill from there.

At one point, something sharp bit hard on Sapphire’s tail, while she wasn’t looking!

“AIIIAAHH!!” She screamed as an orange, turtle-looking Pokemon was biting her!

“Trrr! Trapinch!” …The culprit was non the wiser.

“Charrr!!” Charmy angrilly pushed the other orange Pokemon away and his jaws let go….but it wanted to retaliate at him! “Trrrrapinch!!”

Just before it and Charmy could fight though, each of their friends grabbed them! Sapphire got a hold of Charmy - all the while feeling pain in her tail - while the ‘Trapinch’ was held back by the same dog and dino with the bandanas!

“Charmy, Charmy! It’s okay! You don’t have to fight!!”
“Hey! RUFF, RUFF! Trapinch!! Get away from them!”
“Y-yeah, Trapster! They’re not worth it!!”

…

A little while later, Charmy tried harder to get along with others in the PKEO, while Sapphire was having her tail bandaged. He saw two quadruped girls chattering.

“-And then get this, Deerling - the Bunnery was all like, ‘No way! That’s hoppingly gorgeous!’!” The unicorn-looker spoke.
“Hahaha! Aww, that’s too sweet of her. ‘Hoppingly gorgeous’, only you can earn that talk for boasting about coming from Galar, Ponyta! Haha…!” ‘Deerling’ replied.

“Cha-ar!” Charmy gave them a wave as he wondered close.

But the two girls just stared for a moment, and then…

“…Ugh, ANOTHER lizard? Totally ew-eth!!” Ponyta lightly brushed him away with her tail, before clopping off.

“Yeah, toootally…” the Deerling also threw sass at him before she followed her.

Charmy frowned. Surely things could not get worse for Team ‘CharmyandSapphire’…

…

Nighttime rose for Pik-Island. And it was dinner time for everyone at the base. The younger teams had their own big table to gather around.

The food was good….but not so much the socialism.

Charmy and Sapphire were sat next to Boldore and Charjabug of Team ‘Cave-Loverz’, who were feasting a little too much on their food. It made Charmy a little anxious to be next to a loud eater.

“MUNCH! Stho, ‘Charmy’! That lit tail of yoursth!” Boldore wasn’t good at talking with food in his mouth, “I bet you - MUNCH - and Sthaphire should join usth cave-loversth, sthometime!”

“Yeah, we could do with extra light in our cave-diving! Hehe!” Charjabug added.

“Sigh….that is if you two knew your manners…” Sapphire quietly said to herself….before being accidentally squirted on the side of her face with berry-juice from Boldore’s food.

…

They couldn’t get away from Team Cave-Loverz at bedtime, either! The Charmander and Vaporeon had to share the last hay-made bed in the base, sharing the room with Charjabug and Boldore in the other nest.

Boldore’s snoring was INSUFFERABLE, as he laid on Charjabug like a big pillow. The bug was hardly bothered.

It had been an hour since bedtime and Charmy and Sapphire just couldn’t dose off, in the middle of the violent snoring.

As Charmy pressed his hands on his barely visible ears as hard as he could, Sapphire started to tear up, nearing her breaking point…

This….is the cruellest I’ve ever drawn Charmy and Sapphire yet, I think.

You ever felt like the one kid who just can’t get along with the rest of the class? Yeah, I’ve felt that way numerous times. STILL get it in certain situations to this day, and it’s a horrible feeling. I kinda wish I could go into more detail, but I don’t wanna make this art more depressing than it already is.
Though it was nice to have a go at drawing some of these new faces, especially the fancy Ponyta.

But on the bright side, I have awesome news - All pages for this entire season of comics are finished! Which means Firedrop Rescue Team is now entirely complete and ready to be fully uploaded. Maybe I’ll share more light on this, at the end of Part 4.
