Description Here's another sir fluff matchup. For clarification, this is specifically Robert Pattinson's Batman from The Batman, because this Batman has specific connections with Latte, and it's pretty close. It might seem kinda weird on the surface, but I really like what this has going for it.

Latte and his art were created by sirfluff-thefluff .

Core Theme: Gothic crime fighters that refrain from killing who were motivated by the loss of family and are archenemies with a highly-competent, psychopathic villain.

Connections

  • They started out as happy kids, born into wealth and loving families.

  • However, they’re childhoods were extremely traumatic, and they became permanently scarred after losing their closest family members (the death of Bruce's parents / Muffin being put into a coma).

  • Motivated by their trauma and loss, they became highly-skilled crime fighters and detectives, working with the police (Batman doing detective work for them / Latte being a chief).

  • Their backgrounds also made them very closed-off, rarely showing their soft side.

  • Self-doubt is a big part of their characters. At the start of the movie, Bruce is doubtful that he makes much of a difference and that people like him, though he does grow from this and realize that he means a lot at the end. Latte doesn’t believe anyone would miss him if he were to die and that his life is just terrible in general. In other words, both of them fight passionately to make things better and keep people safe despite how much they doubt themselves and their impact.

  • They have strict, self-imposed moral codes against killing, avoiding lethal force if possible.

  • Their biggest goal is to expose and defeat a highly-competent, unsuspecting psychopath who’s connected to their family’s past (the Riddler despising the Wayne family and trying to be get back at them / Chiffon, Latte's little brother who inherited the family business and is behind Muffin's "accident").

    • This villain orchestrated an attack that left someone close to them hospitalized (Alfred getting hurt by an explosive that was intended for Bruce / Muffin being stuck in a coma after the car crash). They feel guilty that they couldn’t be there for them.

  • They have motorcycles.

  • Eyeliner, lol.

  • Both are associated with emotional songs that represent their mental states.

  • Contrast: Batman refuses to use guns while Latte’s primary method of attack is his gun, which he’s very skilled with.

Potential

  • Dialogue potential is pretty good, them initially being aggressive but then realizing how much they can relate as they question each other.

  • The fight would take place at night, lit by city lights. It could open with a motorcycle chase, Latte believing Batman to be a criminal.

  • Eventually, they’re forced to leave their bikes, probably due to a crash or dead end, and there’s some brief hand-to-hand.

  • I really like the idea of Batman breaking one of Latte’s arms early into the fight, just for Latte to power through and slowly heal over the course of the battle.

  • Latte would then run away to get an advantage from a distance. This leads to some intense moments with Latte trying to shoot Batman, who blocks most of the shots and tries to push Latte’s gun away when he gets close again.

  • By now, both are getting worn out from the hits they’ve taken, and they just want to end it, even if things get brutal.

  • Towards the end, Batman could land some punches, giving Latte a bloodied face before they try to strangle each other.

  • If Latte wins, he could shoot Bruce in the face. If Batman wins, the kill could be really dark when he uses the rope from his grappling hook to hang Latte, like in Batman VS Captain America but less silly (or just have him snap Latte’s neck or something if that’s too much).

  • Either way, the winner would immediately show massive amounts of guilt and regret over ending a life.
