Description
A thin film of ice covered the surface of the pool beneath the weirwood. Theon sank to his knees beside it. "Please," he murmured through his broken teeth, "I never meant..." The words caught in his throat. "Save me," he finally managed. (ADwD, p. 542)I've wanted to draw this scene since I read it. One of the most moving moments of the last book, IMO. Unfortunately, the scanner has been most mean with it

Theon brought all of this down on himself. He choose the family who abandoned him over those who raised him. He choose greed and personal glory over honor and loyalty. He headed the advice of a monster he did not know over the wisdom of those whom he had known for years. Perhaps he did not deserve all that was done to him; but he made his choice and now he must accept the consequences.

I love the piece. I don't know if anyone has suggesting a way of correcting watercolor scans, so i'm gonna throw my 2 cents in. I use photoshop and because watercolor is transparent and the light of the scanner shines through and bounces off the paper, i find that adding a duplicate layer set to multiply then adjusting the transparency of the top layer often corrects the washing out of color caused by the scanner.

Oh, I really like the way you captured his face, the actual mix of disgust, fear, a sense of lost, everything. Beautiful! Also, as I find watercolours rather tricky to play with I admire your background. I haven't found many artists who make fanarts of ASOIAF so your picture just doubles the pleasure! C: BTW, among the saga, do you have your favourite part?

I loved the fact that Jaime doesn't care for Joffrey. He was never allowed to raise them as a father and was obliged to keep his distance, so he doesn't feel like he is their real father. And the kids also never saw him as a father.
George RR Martin took 6 years to write a Dance with Dragons, but only 1 to write "A Storm of swords" so maybe we can have hope!
