i had one of these in my backyard for a couple weeks, I never could get the angle i wanted because it was building its web in a flower pot type bucket and I didn't want to disturb it.

It would be a little difficult to get a nice angle from the inside of a flower pot.
They're very pretty spiders, but since I'm a tad scared of spiders in general, I was decreasing the distance between it and my camera at an extremely slow pace. It was thankfully distracted by its food.

That's quite -gulp- LARGE. What kind of spider is that? I think I have one in my gallery, but it wasn't so....well fed.
